Catch the Wave!
The Tidal Waves Swim Team (“Tidal Waves”) is a 501(c)3 private, not-for-profit recreational summer swim team based in the Block House Creek Neighbourhood and has served the greater Leander / Cedar Park communities for more than 15 years.
We are a part of the Northwest Swim Circuit (NWSC) which is a league of 13 independent swim teams in four divisions with swimmers ranging in age from 5–17 years. For additional information on the NWSC please refer to the following URL: https://nwsc.swimtopia.com/
The Tidal Waves was formed in 2001 and has grown to approximately 200 swimmers who compete each summer. Our team is open to qualifying aged swimmers (age as of May 1st) who are able to pass the minimum ability requirements (eligibility requirements are further detailed herein)
Tidal Wave practices occur during after school hours in early May and during morning hours after school is out. The season begins in May and typically runs through the second week in July. The team is operated by an elected board of directors. Additional detail regarding practice and meet schedules may be located by exploring this web site. The Tidal Waves require that swim team parents complete volunteer shifts during the season in order to help us run a successful team and meet.
Membership is open to anyone, though non-residents of the Block House Creek neighbourhood will be assessed a pool usage fee upon registration.
